Duelist

Korean Movie

Ahhh...Kang Dong-won in his most beautiful role ever. This is a periodic film with typical political conflicts and sword fights. What makes this movie stand out for me is the cinematography and the light romance (I'm always a sucker for love stories!). Aside from that, the soundtrack is totally awesome. Storm and Dies Irae are now part of my all time favorite playlist.

There maybe many awkward scenes in this movie, which are mostly caused by the female lead character Ha Ji-won. Her attempt for humor is unnatural. But looking at the movie as a whole, it's not so bad. As I said before, the cinematography is spectacular. The last part of the movie which featured the duel between the two leads was incredibly great. Although the story line is quite simple, it's still a cool film to watch.

A Love to Kill

No. of Episodes: 16

I'm totally hooked to this drama despite the really painful story. Bi gave a really superb performance. I've never seen a man who could cry so good! Hands down, I consider him as one of the best korean actor. =)
This drama made me cry buckets, I even cried more when I watched it the second time around. I just couldn't get enough of it. It has the perfect ending. So perfect I could cry! =P
This drama is a must for all nostalgic people out there. Highly recommended to make you cleanse those eyes with a thousand tears that would definitely come out. So prepare your tissues and enjoy this intense and very satisfying drama.

My Lovely Kim Sam Soon

No. of Episodes: 16

This is latest drama I have completed watching. I browsed the internet for some photos of the female lead and I discovered that she's not really as big before as the one shown in this series. =P
This drama had one of the best kissing scenes I've ever seen in a Korean series. They don't do much of those stuff. They don't even do enough of those stuff. hehehe =)
Most of the series have 16 episodes. The number of kissing scenes ratio for most of them are 1:16. 1 Kissing scene out of 16 episodes. Huh, imagine that! They are all really pretty wholesome. =) Ok, back to this series, it's not exactly the best drama. But it's very refreshing and it makes you feel really good after watching it. This series is a happy ending one. Enjoy watching!

My Love Patzzi

No of Episodes: 10

It's another typical Jang Nara role. Yap, she's still the strong type character in this drama. Not much of a difference with her role in "Bright Girl's Success Story". She sang some songs for the sound track of this drama though. One of which is "Sweet Dreams", it's a nice song. This drama introduced me to Kim Jae Won. I don't know if it's just me but he looked awfully great in all the suits he wore in this drama. I could drool just watching him walk! Kim Rae Won, another star of this drama have already appeared in "Love Story in Harvard" which I watched first before this drama. Although this was already aired many years ago, I've only seen it recently.
The story of the drama is quite simple. The plot is not complicated and the location is not so remarkable. The character development is quite good. The ending is great too. I observed someting about Kim Jae Won in this series. He looks a whole lot better with glasses on than without. hahahaha =P This drama is quite short, it's fast paced so you won't suffer from all those long pauses in waiting for the characters tears to fall. hehehe =P.

Bright Girl's Success Story

No of Episodes: 16

This is the first Korean Drama I've watched. This series got me hooked to watching dramas. Remember the saying "The early bird catches the worm"? It's one of the quotes from this series that struck me, since the lead male has a different perspective on the matter. =) Pretty refreshing!
This drama is a little draggy in the last 3 episodes but the ending is still great though. Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk have a good chemistry and its shows here.
It is amazing that in most Korean Dramas most of the third party women and men are much more pretty or handsome than the leads. This drama is no exception. Just joking...=P
From this drama, I learned much about korean public baths and the banana milk after bath practice. It was fun.=)
You better savor this drama if you're a Jang Hyuk fan. He doesn't do much drama series. He does have many movies though.

Full house

No of Episodes: 16

This is one drama I would recommend to all. It's hilarious and witty. It has a very cute female lead, Song Hye Gyo or Song Hye Kyo. (Some websites use Gyo some Kyo so I'm not sure). I totally fell for her in this drama. The others characters were equally interesting. Well, I'm partial to antagonist, the people who loves the person who doesn't love them back. Yeah, it's tragic but those are the characters that take my breath away. They are the ones that stay in my mind =P. In this drama that character is portrayed by Kim Sung Soo. He has starred in many drama series incuding "Stained Glass" which have been shown in the local television. The male lead is played by Bi. He's also a singer.
Most of the facial expressions of Song Hye Gyo in this drama are quite comical, I especially like the "I'm not pleased and quite want to kick your ---" facial expression. Hahahaha =).
Watch this drama if you want to be happy. It's worth every second, you won't regret it. =)
